Do you know your angles for triangles?

This morning in maths we investigated the angles of triangles.

  • Firstly I drew an equilateral triangle
  • I cut out the triangle
  •  I cut all the corners off
  • Then put each of the cut corners into a straight line

  • After I drew a second triangle which was a isosceles triangle
  • I cut out the isosceles triangle
  • Then cut off the corners
  • I put the cut-off corners into a straight line

I learned that 3 angles of a triangle equals up to 180 degrees.

Spot the common factors!

I know I can do this when I use my timestables to find the common factors for a pair of numbers.

Find out about perimeter and area!

WALT understand perimeter and area.

I know I can do this when I can explain area and perimeter in my own words.

Fun with Fives

WALT have fun with 5's. Fun with fives means I use my five times tables to work out other times tables. I know can do this when I uses my five times tables to work out problems. This is my fun with 5's presentation.

Estimating

WALT use non standard to find the area for the shape. Mrs Richardson told us to go outside to and draw a shape to see how many students could fit in the area of the by estimating how many people could fit in the area.I know that I have achieved this by estimating the area of my shape and checking to see if that was right.
We were wrong we estimated that 5 students could fit in the area of the shape but it was 6 students that could fit in the area. This is my group sorting out how much students could fit.
