WALT use non standard to find the area for the shape. Mrs Richardson told us to go outside to and draw a shape to see how many students could fit in the area of the by estimating how many people could fit in the area.I know that I have achieved this by estimating the area of my shape and checking to see if that was right.
We were wrong we estimated that 5 students could fit in the area of the shape but it was 6 students that could fit in the area. This is my group sorting out how much students could fit.I am a Year 8 student at Saint Patrick's School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Room 8 and my teacher is Mrs Dines.

My Goals
WALT write goals to help us measure our learning
My goal for writing is to move up to an age level. This is important because the reader might be interested in my story. The steps I will take to achieve my goal will be to learn how to spell and learn how to know my punctuation properly.
My goal for Reading is to understand what I read and learn how to say tricky words. This is important because you might be able to pass all the levels fast. The steps I will take to achieve my goal will be to learn the things I do not know and learn how to stop for three seconds at a full stop.
My goal for Maths is to learn more basic facts and my times tables. This is important because I might be able to reach 100 in my basic facts test. The steps I will take to achieve my goal will be to play with the maths equipment.
Respect
WALT discover the true meaning of respect
Our number one golden rule is to obey the ten commandments.
Respect means to me that you pick up rubbish for other people forgive other people for those who trespass against us respect also means that when your enemies do something bad you don't need to do it back to them you forgive them.

My Maori Mihi
Kia Ora in room 5 Mrs Richardson told us to do a Maori Mihi presentation. A mihi is introducing yourself in Maori. I know I can do this when I can introduce myself in Maori. This is my presentation.

A.F.L
Do you know that Room 5 Had A.F.L and the Coach's name was Jerim and when we got there we were playing tiggy but a different way so like we had to go like when we tag some one you have to sit down and when you see some one else sit down you can get up. After Room 5 played tiggy we started to practice a kick called Drop punt and the main instruction's were to keep the lace's away from face's and the other instruction's were to put your finger's on the line's and make sure that the cross's or the x's up and down.
Playing A.F.L
Wow! room 5 played A.F.L the coach's name was Ryan. Ryan told us how to chest pass and how to hand mark. A hand mark is like a camera but you have to make a camera with your hand's then catch the ball. I know I can hand mark because I can catch the ball.
Grace's of Anointing
We are learning about the graces of anointing of the sick. I know that I have done this when the graces of anointing of the sick are inside my letter. This is my letter with the graces inside it.
